How Can Private Tutor Deal With Slow Learners?

In today’s era, the world of technology and competition the personal family time is somewhere missing. The generation today is technologically enhanced but on the contrary, their don’t consume their energies out of the gadgets. We are all proud about “the 90’s kids” or the generation prior to it because the 90’s kids were the last generation who were fond of playing outdoor games after school hours and at the same time were encouraged to consume their energies playing. This “playing” thing was not just the fun but at the same time friends of friends became friends which increased the aura of the interaction of the child. That helped him to deal with the situations themselves and made them independent. Today’s generation is techno-friendly and is lagging with the interaction with the world. World behind the screen is the mirror image of the real world or we can say that the world behind the screen is just virtually true. Children today hesitate to interact with others and the resulting is that they are taught on what to react or what to think and not how to react or how to think. This difference between what and how is resulting in slow learning. Practical approach always helps but today with the growing competition children are not left with the time to try something new or innovative. With the growing competition, the syllabus has simultaneously grown and to cover the same a student needs the help of extra study material which they get from home tuitions or coaching institutions. The private home tuitions have proved very beneficial in maintaining the scores of the children. We know, not every child is same, they differ with every aspect and every angle. Their interests and capabilities majorly differ them from others. Learning comes with experience and experience comes with interaction and interaction comes with a practical approach. Slow learning is a result of lack of interaction and experience. To deal with slow learners it is very important to understand the psychology of the child. Slow learning can be the result of the following Conceptual blocks Unable to express Lack of interaction Introvert behavior Insecurity Fear of failure These are the points where the tutor must focus to make the learning process fast and easy for the child. These all points are interrelated in the following ways : Conceptual blocks (what people think of him) makes him unable to express his feelings and thoughts which result in the lack of interaction and this makes a child introvert. He becomes insecure and instable with this performance and fears the failure. The tutor or the mentor needs to understand the psychology of the child and help him bursting the conceptual block by creative thinking and innovative ideas. With being self-confident the child finds himself competent and capable to withstand the competition. To break these conceptual blocks a tutor plays a major role in building the child.
