He was born in Carnas, Seville, Andalusia; football was in his blood even nobody in his family belonged to football field, he started to playing football at very early life, he began his career at a local side Sevilla FC, emerging through the club’s youth system alongside Jesus Navas and Antonio Puerta, he played his first La Liga match for Sevilla FC on 1st February 2004, coming on as a second half substitute in a 0-1 away loss against Deportivo de La Coruna. After playing good for the club, he became a regular member of the club at 2004-05 season, he appeared in 41 games for the club as Sevilla finished sixth and qualified to the UEFA Cup, he scored in home fixtures against good clubs like Real Socieded and Real Madrid, he made a good impact in his first season and made many managers to keep an eye on him.

As a result of his outstanding performances for Sevilla and his national team in U-19 and U-21 competitions, he was purchased by Real Madrid for record E 27 million in the summer of 2005 when he was only 19 year old which was a record for a Spanish teenager, he was the only Spanish player bought during Floretino Perez’s first stint as Real’s president. After joining the club Ramos was awarded the No.4 shirt which was previously worn by Fernando Hierro, who was one of the legendary defenders the club has ever seen. He scored his first Goal on December 6 2005 against Olympiacos F.C but couldn’t save his team from losing the Match at UEFA Champion’s League Group Stages. Ramos started playing as a Centre-back for Real Madrid but he was also used as an emergency for defensive mid-fielder on different occasions. He was again relocated to right back in the 2007-08 season due to the arrival of Christoph Metzelder and Pepe, he made himself a regular member of the team, he showed a goal-scoring instinct at the club which was unusual to many defenders, he scored more than 20 overall goals in Real Madrid’s stint during his last four season’s combined, On May 4 2008 he helped Madrid to score a 89th minute goal against CA Osasuna in an eventual 2-1 away win, this goal sealed the club’s 31st League Championship. Ramos got some serious success throughout his career; Ramos was named in both FIFA and UEFA’s 2008 Team of the Year 2007-08 accolade, he also finished 21st in the European Player of the year nomination for 2008.

He also been through some controversies throughout his career, once he dropped The Trophy from a bus and as a result The Trophy was dented, nobody can forget the Ramos Sent off in the 0-5 loss against FC Barcelona. Ramos started his international career for Spain on U-17 levels, later on he also got a chance to play for U-19 and U-21 Levels. He appeared in 115 matches for Spain and still progressing day by day, he has become an important factor for the team. He is one of the best defenders the world has ever seen; he is a member of 2014 World Cup squad and hoping to make history again this year.
